The Power of Being Surrounded by Deliverance
Psalm 32:7
“You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance.”
Authority
God does not just offer you a path of escape from the enemy’s traps. He surrounds you with deliverance on every side, making every trap the enemy sets escapable. You are not just protected from one direction. You are surrounded by the deliverance of God in every direction.
The Enemy’s Strategy
Satan sets traps that are designed to feel inescapable. He constructs situations, relationships, and circumstances that appear to have no way out. His goal is to make you feel surrounded by the trap rather than surrounded by deliverance. He uses the walls of the situation to block your view of God’s surrounding presence.
The Biblical Example
Psalm 32 was written by David after a period in which he had been silent about his sin and the weight of it had been crushing him. When he confessed, God forgave him. He then described God as his hiding place who preserved him from trouble and surrounded him with songs of deliverance. The deliverance David described was not distant. It surrounded him on every side. God was not just a resource David could reach for. He was the environment David lived inside of.
How to Use It
When you feel trapped by a situation, shift your declaration from focusing on the trap to focusing on the surrounding deliverance. Declare out loud that God surrounds you with shouts of deliverance. Name the trap and then declare that it has an exit because God has already prepared one. Trust that what surrounds you is not the trap but the delivering presence of God.
Declaration
“God surrounds me with shouts of deliverance. I am not trapped. Every situation the enemy has constructed around my life has an exit that God has already prepared. I shift my focus from the walls of the trap to the surrounding deliverance of God over every impossible situation I am facing. I trust that the way out is already there.”
