I Am Honest

God Says You Are Honest
Honesty is one of the most powerful things you can carry. In a world where people say what’s convenient, your commitment to truth sets you apart. Being honest doesn’t just mean not lying. It means being real about who you are, what you feel, and where you’re at. It means showing up authentically, even when it’s uncomfortable. God honors that kind of integrity, and it builds the kind of trust that lasts.
How to Practice Being Honest
- Start with yourself. Before you can be honest with others, be honest with yourself. What are you avoiding looking at? What truth have you been pushing down? Start there.
- Choose truth over comfort. When a hard conversation needs to happen, don’t avoid it. Speak kindly, but speak truthfully. Long-term relationships are built on honest communication, not comfortable silence.
- Own your mistakes quickly. When you get something wrong, say so. Don’t minimize or deflect. Owning your errors builds credibility and frees you from the weight of covering things up.
Prayer
God, help me to be a person of truth. Give me the courage to be honest even when it’s uncomfortable. Let my words reflect integrity, and let my life match what I say I believe. Forgive me for the times I’ve stretched the truth or hidden behind half-stories. I want to be someone people can trust. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
