I Am Unshakable
Psalm 125:1 — “Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever.”
Being unshakable means your foundation is so solid that trials can’t dismantle who you are.
God Says You Are Unshakable
Mountains don’t move when the wind blows. That’s the image God uses to describe the person who trusts in Him. You’re not immune to storms. But when your trust is in God, your foundation holds through them. The things that shake people who aren’t rooted in Him don’t have the same power over you. You can feel the turbulence without being swept away by it.
How to Practice Being Unshakable
- Build your life on the right foundation. Regular time in God’s Word, honest prayer, and a community of faith aren’t optional add-ons. They’re the foundation that makes you unshakable when things get hard.
- Don’t let your emotions be your compass in a storm. Feelings are real, but they’re not always reliable guides. When things feel unstable, return to what you know to be true rather than what you currently feel.
- Rehearse God’s faithfulness. Review the moments in your life where God came through. Every evidence of His faithfulness builds your confidence for the next challenge.
Prayer
Lord, root me deeply in You. When the winds come, let me stand firm. Let my peace be a testimony that I trust in something greater than circumstances. You are my foundation, and I will not be moved. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
