Listen Long Enough to Hear What They Mean

ByMarques Clark July 26, 2026July 31, 2026

Bible Hack: Slow down, hear the full message, and manage your emotions before you respond.

Scripture: James 1:19: “Let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger.”

Explanation: Listening first gives you time to understand what’s actually being said. Slowing your response also keeps emotion from speaking before wisdom gets a turn.

Simple Action: In your next conversation, let the other person finish completely before you answer.

A fast mouth can create problems a patient ear would’ve prevented.
