I Am Chosen

John 15:16 — “You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.”

Being chosen means God specifically selected you for relationship and purpose before you ever sought Him.

God Says You Are Chosen

You didn’t find God. He found you. He chose you before you knew His name. That means your relationship with Him didn’t start with your decision. It started with His. That’s the foundation of your confidence. You’re not here on probation or on a trial run. You were chosen, appointed, and sent. That kind of election doesn’t change based on your performance.

How to Practice Being Chosen

  1. Walk with the confidence of someone who was picked. You didn’t have to compete for God’s love or prove your worth to be chosen. Let that truth settle your insecurity. You were selected by the God of the universe.
  2. Live with a sense of appointment. You’re not just randomly alive. You were appointed. Ask God regularly what He has called you to in this specific season and then move toward it with intentionality.
  3. Help others see their own chosenness. One of the most powerful things you can do for people is help them understand that they too are chosen. Live and speak in ways that reflect this truth to others.

Prayer

God, thank You for choosing me. Let that truth silence every voice that says I’m not wanted or that I don’t belong. Help me to live with the confidence of someone who was handpicked by You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
