The Power of Being Clothed in Christ
Romans 13:14
“But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.”

You have the power to put on Christ as your identity and your covering, which denies the enemy the fleshly access points he needs to gain influence in your life. Putting on Christ is not a metaphor. It is an active, daily choice to walk in His identity rather than the identity the flesh defaults to. When you do, the enemy loses his most common entry point.
The Enemy’s Strategy
Satan works through the flesh. His most consistent strategy is to keep your fleshly desires active and ungoverned so that they become the open doors through which he enters. He does not need to break down a locked door. He waits for the door of the flesh to be left open and walks through it.
The Biblical Example
Paul wrote Romans 13:14 as a command to put on the Lord Jesus as a garment. In the ancient world, putting on clothing associated with someone was a way of taking on their identity and status. Paul was telling believers to wrap themselves in who Jesus is rather than making room for the desires of the flesh. The imagery is deliberate: you do not fight the enemy exposed. You stand clothed in Christ, and what the enemy encounters first is not you but Him.
How to Use It
Every morning, deliberately put on Christ through prayer and declaration. Name the specific fleshly desires that have been creating open doors and declare that you are making no provision for them today. Then clothe yourself in the identity and the nature of Jesus, declaring who you are in Him rather than who the flesh says you are.
Declaration
“I put on the Lord Jesus today. His identity is my identity. His nature is what I walk in. I make no provision for the flesh and I give the enemy no access through my fleshly desires. I am clothed in Christ and that covering denies Satan every foothold he has been looking for. I am dressed for this day in the armor of who Jesus is, and the enemy has nothing to grab hold of.”
