The Power to Walk in Total Dominion

Luke 10:19

“Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.”

Authority

Jesus has given you direct authority over everything the enemy has and everything he tries to use against you. This is not partial authority or authority that only works in certain situations. It is total authority over all the power of the enemy. That means there is nothing the enemy can throw at you that is outside the reach of the authority you carry.

The Enemy’s Strategy

Satan is the Serpent (Revelation 12:9), the same deceiver who operated in the garden of Eden. He uses subtle, creeping strategies designed to inject fear, doubt, and deception into your life. Like a serpent, he looks for low, unguarded places to strike. He wants you to believe his power is greater than the authority you carry so that you never use what God has given you.

The Biblical Example

Jesus sent out 72 of His followers to go ahead of Him into towns and heal the sick and proclaim the kingdom. When they came back, they were amazed that even demons obeyed them when they used His name. Jesus confirmed what happened by telling them He had given them authority to tread over all the power of the enemy. He was not surprised by what they reported. This was always the intention.

How to Use It

Walk with the awareness that you carry authority wherever you go. When the enemy shows up in your mind, your circumstances, or your relationships, do not shrink back. Stand on Luke 10:19 and remind yourself that Jesus gave you authority over all of it. Speak directly to whatever the enemy is doing and use the authority that has already been given to you.

Declaration

“Jesus has given me authority to tread over all the power of the enemy. Nothing you throw at me will stand. I walk in total dominion over every scheme, every attack, and every strategy you have devised against me. You are under my feet, not over my head. I declare that in the name of Jesus.”
