I Am Thankful
Psalm 107:1 — “Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.”
Thankfulness means recognizing what God has done and choosing to acknowledge it regularly.
God Says You Are Thankful
Gratitude is one of the most powerful habits you can build. When you make thankfulness a regular practice, it shifts the lens through which you see your life. Suddenly you stop focusing on what’s missing and start noticing what’s present. You have been given more than you sometimes realize. A thankful heart isn’t blind to problems. It’s just anchored in something bigger than the problems.
How to Practice Being Thankful
- Write down three specific things each day. Not generic. Specific. “Thank God for the conversation I had with my friend today.” Specificity deepens gratitude.
- Thank God before you see the outcome. Gratitude in advance is faith in action. Thank Him for what He’s working on even before it shows up. That’s trust.
- Express thankfulness to people too. Don’t just keep it between you and God. Tell the people in your life what they mean to you. Gratitude expressed is a gift given.
Prayer
Father, I am grateful. For Your goodness, Your faithfulness, and the countless ways You show up in my life. Open my eyes to see Your hand in the details. Let thankfulness be the atmosphere I live in. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
