I Am Armored
Ephesians 6:11 — “Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”
Being armored means God has given you everything you need to stand strong in spiritual conflict.
God Says You Are Armored
You’re not defenseless. God has equipped you with everything you need for the spiritual battles you face. The armor He’s given you isn’t decorative. It’s functional, tested, and sufficient. Every lie that comes at your identity, every attack on your peace, every temptation toward fear or shame, God has provided a counterpart in His armor. You don’t have to go into any battle unprotected.
How to Practice Being Armored
- Put on the armor intentionally. Spend a few minutes each morning consciously acknowledging each piece: truth, righteousness, readiness from the Gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word. It’s a practice that prepares your mind.
- Know what you’re standing against. The enemy’s primary weapon is deception. When thoughts come that contradict who God says you are, recognize them for what they are and respond with truth.
- Stand, don’t just survive. The command in Ephesians 6 is to stand. Not run, not cower, not collapse. You have everything you need to hold your ground. Trust what God has given you.
Prayer
God, I put on Your armor today. Let Your truth protect my mind, Your righteousness guard my heart, and Your Word be ready in my mouth. I stand in the strength You’ve provided. I will not be moved. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
