I Am Resilient

Isaiah 43:2 — “When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown.”

Resilience means the ability to come back, recover, and keep moving forward after adversity.

God Says You Are Resilient

You haven’t been broken by everything you’ve been through. That’s not an accident. God has been sustaining you through every hard season, building something in you that can’t be manufactured any other way. Resilience isn’t the absence of pain. It’s the presence of something stronger than the pain. And in your case, that something is God Himself working in you.

How to Practice Being Resilient

  1. Reframe setbacks as setups. When things don’t go as planned, ask: “What is God teaching me here?” Not every setback is a dead end. Many are redirections toward something better.
  2. Don’t rush your recovery. Resilience doesn’t mean bouncing back immediately. Give yourself permission to process. Healing is part of the journey, not a detour from it.
  3. Build a support system before you need it. Invest in relationships during the good seasons so you have people to lean on in the hard ones. You weren’t meant to get through everything alone.

Prayer

Lord, thank You that You don’t waste any of my pain. Help me to trust the process even when I don’t understand it. Build resilience in me that goes deeper than toughness. Let it be rooted in trust in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
