I Am Filled with Power
Micah 3:8 — “But as for me, I am filled with power, with the Spirit of the LORD, and with justice and might.”
Being filled with power means the Holy Spirit equips you to live beyond your natural limitations.
God Says You Are Filled with Power
The Holy Spirit in you is not a tame presence. He is power. The same Spirit who hovered over creation, who came on the disciples like tongues of fire, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives inside you. That means you’re not limited to what you can produce in your own strength. There’s a divine power available to you in prayer, in service, in witness, and in everyday life.
How to Practice Being Filled with Power
- Invite the Holy Spirit into your day. Each morning, ask the Holy Spirit to fill you afresh. Don’t just rely on yesterday’s filling. Come to God each day to receive what you need for that day.
- Pray in ways that require power. If all your prayers are things you could handle yourself, stretch further. Pray for things that require God’s involvement. Let your prayer life be powered by faith, not just habit.
- Don’t quench the Spirit. 1 Thessalonians 5:19 says don’t put out the Spirit’s fire. Be responsive to His leading. When He prompts you to pray, speak, or act, follow that promptly and obediently.
Prayer
Holy Spirit, fill me afresh today. Let Your power flow through everything I do. I don’t want to live on my own steam. I want to move in Your strength, Your wisdom, and Your love. Come and have Your way in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
