The Power to Fight From Victory

Romans 8:37

“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”

You are not just a conqueror. You are more than a conqueror through Jesus. Being more than a conqueror means you do not fight toward victory. You fight from it. The outcome has already been decided by God, and you are on the winning side. That means no trial, no attack, and no assignment of the enemy changes where you stand. You stand in victory right now, in the middle of whatever you are facing.

The Enemy’s Strategy

Satan uses suffering, hardship, and prolonged trials to wear you down and make you feel like you are losing. His strategy is to make the pressure feel so consistent and so heavy that you start to believe the outcome is uncertain. He uses suffering as a tool to shake your confidence in who you are in Christ.

The Biblical Example

Paul wrote Romans 8:37 to people who were facing real, tangible suffering: tribulation, distress, persecution, and the threat of death. He listed these as things that might come against believers and then declared that in all of them, they were more than conquerors through Christ. The phrase more than conquerors comes from a Greek word meaning to overwhelmingly prevail. Paul was not saying they would barely survive. He was saying they would come out on top of everything that came at them.

How to Use It

In the middle of every difficulty, declare out loud that you are more than a conqueror. Do not wait for the circumstances to change before you speak victory. Speak victory into the middle of the trial. Your declaration is not a denial of what is happening. It is a declaration of who you are in the middle of what is happening.

“I am more than a conqueror through Jesus who loved me. No tribulation, no distress, no attack, and no assignment of the enemy changes that. I do not fight toward victory. I fight from it. In the middle of everything I am facing right now, I declare that I am winning because Jesus has already won. Satan, you do not get to define the outcome. God already has.”
