The Power to Plunder Every Stronghold
Luke 11:21-22
“When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own palace, his goods are safe; but when one stronger than he attacks him and overcomes him, he takes away his armor in which he trusted and divides his spoil.”
Authority
Jesus is the Stronger One who has already overcome the strong man. You walk in His victory, which means every stronghold the enemy has built is subject to being stripped, plundered, and divided. The enemy has been defeated by One stronger than him and the spoil belongs to you.
The Enemy’s Strategy
Satan builds and guards strongholds. He constructs entrenched places of influence in lives, minds, and situations and then defends them aggressively. He counts on the stronghold feeling impenetrable so that people stop pressing against it and learn to live around it instead of dismantling it.
The Biblical Example
Jesus used a parable in Luke 11 to explain how a strong man guards his house and keeps his possessions safe. But when someone stronger comes and overpowers him, that stronger man takes away the armor the strong man trusted and divides the plunder. Jesus was describing what He came to do. The enemy had held people captive and guarded what he had taken. Jesus came as the stronger one, overpowered him, and took back what the enemy had stolen. The plunder belonged to the one strong enough to take it.
How to Use It
When you are dealing with a deeply entrenched stronghold, whether in your own life or in intercession for others, declare that Jesus the Stronger One has already overcome the strong man. Pray with the expectation of plunder. Ask God not just to remove the enemy but to take back what the enemy has stolen and divide the spoil back to the rightful owner.
Declaration
“Jesus is the Stronger One and He has overcome every strong man that has guarded a palace in my life. Every stronghold is being stripped of its armor. Every good thing the enemy has held captive in my life is being plundered and returned. I declare the victory of the Stronger One over every entrenched work of the devil and I receive back everything he has stolen.”
