I Am Given Grace
Ephesians 2:8-9 — “God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.”
Grace means you receive from God what you didn’t earn and couldn’t deserve.
God Says You Are Given Grace
Grace is not just the door that let you in. It’s the air you breathe every day. God’s grace covers your past, empowers your present, and secures your future. You don’t have to perform to stay in good standing with Him. You were made right with Him through faith, not works. That means every day you wake up, you wake up loved and accepted, not based on how yesterday went, but based on what Jesus did.
How to Practice Being Given Grace
- Stop trying to earn what’s already yours. Many believers live as though they have to maintain their standing with God through good behavior. Let this go. Your standing is based on Jesus, not your performance.
- Receive grace in the moments you fail. When you mess up, don’t run from God. Run to Him. That’s what grace makes possible. Come exactly as you are, and let Him meet you there.
- Extend grace to others. The grace you’ve received is meant to flow through you. When others fail you, respond with the same generosity God has shown you.
Prayer
Father, thank You for grace I could never deserve. Help me to live in it fully, not just know about it. Let it shape how I see myself, how I come to You, and how I treat others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
