I Am Persistent

Matthew 7:7 — “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”

Persistence means continuing to move forward even when the results haven’t shown up yet.

God Says You Are Persistent

You’re persistent because God has placed something in you that doesn’t give up. Every time you choose to keep going despite setbacks, you’re showing what you’re made of. God doesn’t reward talent alone. He rewards the ones who keep showing up. Your persistence is proof that you believe what He’s promised you is worth pursuing.

How to Practice Being Persistent

  1. Set a reminder for your goal. Keep what you’re working toward visible. Put it somewhere you’ll see it daily. Out of sight often means out of mind.
  2. Celebrate small progress. Don’t wait until the big win to acknowledge forward movement. Every step counts. Recognize it.
  3. Expect resistance. Resistance isn’t a sign you’re on the wrong path. Sometimes it’s a sign you’re on the right one. Prepare for pushback and decide in advance you won’t quit because of it.

Prayer

God, give me the grace to keep going. When I feel like stopping, remind me of what You’ve called me to. Let my persistence be an act of trust in Your timing and Your promises. I know that what You start, You finish. Help me to be someone who finishes too. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
