The Power of Being Seated Above Every Demonic Rank

Ephesians 2:6

“And raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”

Authority

You have been raised and seated with Christ in heavenly places, a position that is above every principality, power, and demonic rank. You do not fight upward toward that position. You already occupy it. That means you speak downward to what is beneath you, not upward to what towers over you. Every demonic force that comes against you is operating from below your position, not above it.

The Enemy’s Strategy

Satan wants believers to see themselves as ground-level fighters looking up at spiritual forces that are bigger and more powerful than they are. He wants you operating from a posture of inferiority rather than from the elevated position you actually hold in Christ. He knows that a believer who understands their seated position is a believer who is far more dangerous to his kingdom.

The Biblical Example

Paul wrote Ephesians 2:6 to explain the positional reality of every believer. He said God raised them up with Christ and seated them with Him in the heavenly places. This was written in the past tense, meaning it was already done. The seat Paul described was above every ruler, authority, power, and dominion that could be named. Believers were not positioned below the demonic ranks looking up. They were positioned above them, seated with the one who had already triumphed over all of them.

How to Use It

Shift how you think about spiritual warfare. You are not fighting toward victory from below. You are enforcing victory from above. When you pray and declare, do it from the awareness that you are speaking from a position above everything coming against you. Declare the authority of your seated position in Christ over every demonic rank assigned to your life.

Declaration

“I have been raised up and seated with Christ in heavenly places. My position is above every principality, every power, and every demonic rank that has been assigned against me. I do not fight toward my position. I fight from it. I speak downward to what is beneath me and I declare the authority of my seated position in Christ Jesus over every enemy of my soul.”
