God’s Word is absolute truth and it sanctifies and anchors you in that truth. Every scheme of the enemy collapses when it comes up against a life that is consistently grounded in the Word. Truth is not just information. It is a sanctifying force that separates you from every lie the enemy uses to construct his attacks.
The Enemy’s Strategy
Satan’s schemes are built on lies. Every strategy he deploys requires you to believe something that is not true. His schemes cannot survive contact with the truth of God’s Word because truth exposes and destroys the foundation of every deception he has constructed.
The Biblical Example
John 17 records Jesus praying for His disciples the night before His arrest. He specifically prayed that God would sanctify them in the truth and declared that God’s word was truth. He was not just asking for their protection from the world. He was asking for them to be set apart and grounded in what was actually true. Jesus understood that the enemy’s primary tool was deception, and His prayer for His followers was that the truth of God’s word would be the thing that set them apart and kept them anchored.
How to Use It
Make the Word of God your daily anchor. When the enemy’s schemes begin to surface in your thinking through fear, doubt, or wrong beliefs, bring the specific truth of Scripture directly against each one. Study the Word with the intentionality of someone who knows they are being targeted and who is building the specific defenses those attacks require.
