The Power of God Breaking the Enemy’s Strength

Psalm 37:17

“For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, but the LORD upholds the righteous.”

God actively breaks the power and strength that stands behind every satanic attack against you. You are upheld by the LORD while the enemy’s arms are being broken. That means no matter how strong the opposition feels, God is simultaneously breaking the power behind it and holding you up through it.

The Enemy’s Strategy

Satan works through accumulated strength, building pressure over time through repeated attacks, growing influence, and increasing opposition. He wants his strength to feel overwhelming and unstoppable. What he does not want you to know is that God is breaking that strength even as it is being deployed against you.

The Biblical Example

Psalm 37 addresses the person who feels outmatched by those who seem to be winning while doing evil. In verse 17, the psalmist declares that the arms of the wicked will be broken but that God upholds the righteous. The arms represent strength and power. God does not just defend His people passively. He actively breaks the strength of what is coming against them and holds up those who belong to Him at the same time.

How to Use It

When the enemy’s attacks feel relentless and his influence seems to be growing, declare out loud that the arms of the wicked are broken and that the LORD upholds you. You are not losing ground while you stand in God. The enemy’s power is being dismantled at the same time he is applying it. Stand firm and let God do the breaking.

Every power structure, every stronghold of strength, and every source of the enemy’s force that has been working against my life is being broken by God right now. I am upheld by the LORD and what upholds me is greater than what is coming against me. Satan, your arms are breaking and my God is still standing.”
