I Am Loved
Psalm 117:2 — “For great is His love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.”
Love means that God’s commitment to you is unconditional, unearned, and unshakable.
God Says You Are Loved
You are loved not because of what you’ve done, but because of who God is. His love for you isn’t based on your performance, your consistency, or how well you’ve followed through. It’s based entirely on His nature, and He never changes. That means His love for you never fluctuates. On your best days and your worst days, you are equally loved. That’s not something you have to strive for. It’s something you get to rest in.
How to Practice Being Loved
- Receive it daily. Start your mornings by saying out loud: “God loves me today.” Not because you feel it, but to reset your mind to truth before the noise of the day sets in.
- Notice where you’re seeking approval from people. When you catch yourself needing validation from others, ask: “What am I really looking for?” Often it’s the love you already have from God but haven’t fully received.
- Let it change how you love others. The more you receive God’s love, the more freely you give it away. Practice loving the people in your life without keeping score, the way God loves you.
Prayer
God, thank You for loving me in ways I haven’t fully understood yet. Help me receive Your love today, not just as a fact in my head, but as something I feel in my heart. Let it be the foundation I stand on. Let it be the thing that shapes how I see myself and how I treat others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
