I Am Secure

Job 11:18 — “You will be secure, because there is hope; you will look about you and take your rest in safety.”

Security means your foundation is so grounded in God that uncertainty can’t destabilize you.

God Says You Are Secure

Security doesn’t come from having everything figured out. It comes from knowing who holds everything together. When your security is in God rather than in outcomes, circumstances, or other people, you gain a stability that doesn’t fluctuate with your environment. You can face change, loss, and uncertainty without being shaken at your core because your core is held by Someone unchanging.

How to Practice Being Secure

  1. Locate the source of your insecurity. What makes you feel most unstable or afraid? Identify it specifically. Then bring it to God and ask Him to show you how His nature and His promises speak directly to that fear.
  2. Stop anchoring your security to things that can change. Jobs, relationships, finances, health — these are all uncertain. When they shift, your security shouldn’t. Make sure your deepest sense of safety is in what cannot change.
  3. Build spiritual confidence through consistency. Security grows as you develop a track record with God. The more you experience His faithfulness through regular prayer and Scripture, the less easily shaken you become.

Prayer

God, help me to find my security in You. Not in circumstances, not in people, not in anything that can shift. You are constant. You are faithful. Let that be enough to keep me steady. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
