The Power in the Name of Jesus

Philippians 2:9-10

“Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.”

Authority

The name of Jesus carries absolute authority over every being in every realm. Every demonic spirit, every principality, and every power must bow at that name. That authority has been given to you to use. When you speak the name of Jesus in faith, you are not using a magic word. You are invoking the most powerful name in existence, backed by the full authority of heaven.

The Enemy’s Strategy

Satan and his forces operate through the absence of the name of Jesus. He works where that name is not being spoken, declared, or invoked. He is not intimidated by religion, by ritual, or by human effort. He is intimidated by the name that is above every name, and he works to keep believers from understanding and using the power that name carries.

The Biblical Example

After His death and resurrection, Paul says God gave Jesus the name above every name, with the result that at that name every knee bows in heaven, on earth, and under the earth. This was a declaration of universal authority. Paul wrote this to believers in Philippi to anchor their confidence in who Jesus was above every ruler, power, and force they could name. The name of Jesus was not just a religious title. It carried the full weight of heaven’s authority behind it.

How to Use It

Speak the name of Jesus directly and deliberately over every situation you face. Do not use it as a religious phrase at the end of a prayer. Use it as the weapon it is. Speak it over fear, over sickness, over oppression, over relationships, and over every demonic assignment. The name of Jesus does not require your feelings to work. It requires your faith.

Declaration

“At the name of Jesus every knee bows. Every demonic spirit, every principality, every power, and every assignment of darkness must bow to the name of Jesus. I declare that name over my life, my family, my home, my mind, and my future. Jesus, Your name is above every name, and I use it today with full confidence that every enemy of my soul must submit to it.”
